Short biography
Dr Farid F. Ibrahim is a physician-scientist, who joined McGill University in 2012. He has developed a special interest in medical research that evolves Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, and Medical Education. Dr Ibrahim believes that scientists are those who change facts, and believes that each and every ear should be able to hear. He has completed a Post-Doc Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Dr Ibrahim has been invited to present his scientific and clinical work at various national and international advanced medical conferences including the American Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, and the European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, as well as the Canadian Pediatric Society. In addition, he has pursued a Master’s degree in Family Medicine and Medical Education at McGill University. Dr Ibrahim has a great passion for photography since his tender age; which he used as the cornerstone of his Master’s project. The latter resulted in a best practice development that assists physicians in benefiting from the strengths of Medical Photography. Dr Ibrahim has been invited by the Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec to teach his camerawork guide to clinicians and surgeons so as to enhance their practice and patient care. Dr Ibrahim is the recipient of multiple awards including Honor Awards from The American Society of Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children as well as Excellence Awards from McGill University.
