Short biography
<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amrita completed her MSc. in Family Medicine (Medical Education Concentration) in August 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Roland Grad and co-supervision of Dr. Samira Rahimi.<\/p>\n

Her thesis was entitled \u201cDecisional Stakes and Patient-Provider Incongruency during Shared Decision Making: A Family Medicine Resident Perspective,\u201d and investigated <\/strong>the use of shared decision-making (SDM) amongst Family Medicine residents. Her graduate research was published in Patient Education and Counseling <\/em>in 2024 and presented at the North American Primary Care Research Group and Preventing Overdiagnosis Conferences in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a master\u2019s student, Amrita also completed a project exploring how artificial intelligence can be implemented in primary care to aid clinicians in preventing and managing cardiovascular disease in women, and showcased her findings at the 2023 Family Medicine Forum.<\/p>\n

During her MSc, Amrita was also the recipient of the prestigious Scarlet Key Award, awarded to student leaders who go above and beyond what is expected of them, showing outstanding dedication to their community and their peers.<\/p>\n
