Short biography
<\/strong>Dr. Sara Turcotte completed her medical education at the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and revalidated her studies in Medicine at the University of Sao Paulo. She is a certified Fellow from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Dr. Turcotte has worked internationally in community, individual and humanitarian health assistance, as well as in health human resources training, managing and project planning for more than 30 years. After having completed the Family Medicine Clinician Scholar program at McGill University, Dr. Turcotte finalized her MSc program in Family Medicine, concentration Medical Education under the supervision of Dr Charo Rodriguez and co-supervision of Kathleen Rice. Her thesis and published article aim at understanding the lived experience of remediation from the perspective of former remediated family medicine residents. Her research interests also include practice and community-based research, medical anthropology, interpretative phenomenological analysis and perspectives of integrative medicine and cultural in health systems, in the context of global health.<\/span><\/p>\n
