Between August 14 and 19, the Family Medicine Education Research Group (FMER) had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Rosa Magallón, Professor at the University of Zaragoza and Director of the Grupo Aragonés de investigación en Atención Primaria (GAIAP) – the Aragonese Primary Care Research Group.

During her stay, Dr. Magallón visited both the Department of Family Medicine (DFM) and the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE), met with colleagues across McGill, and participated in the FMER workshop on mixed studies literature reviews offered by Prof. Quan Nha Hong on August 18^th at the DFM. Her visit also included valuable discussions with FMER’s director, Dr. Charo Rodríguez, where they established a plan of collaboration between GAIAP and FMER.

This visit marks the beginning of a promising partnership to strengthen research and knowledge exchange in primary care, bridging expertise between Spain and Canada. We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration will bring for advancing family medicine education and research.
