Short biography
Andrea Rizk-Flores is a second-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) student in Family Medicine with a concentration in Medical Education and a first-year medical student (M.D.,C.M. Class of 2029) at McGill University. Born in Gatineau and raised in Montreal, Quebec, she graduated from McGill in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Kinesiology, earning a place on the Dean’s Honour List. In 2025, she was awarded the Canada Graduate Scholarships – Master’s Awards (CGS-M) from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), a national award providing recognition and financial support to master’s students in Canada who demonstrate exceptional potential for future research achievement and productivity.
Andrea’s research interests center on equipping physicians to meet the demands of modern healthcare, advancing medical education, and enhancing patient care. Her thesis employs topic modeling to conduct an exploratory literature review at the intersection of artificial intelligence and dementia care, with the aim of informing family medicine education and practice. Through this work, she seeks to contribute to advancing innovative approaches that help physicians adapt to evolving technologies and patient needs
