Pierre Pluye is honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award in Family Medicine Research posthumously

The McGill FMER is very proud to announce that on November 6, 2024, during the Family Medicine Forum (FMF)—an annual conference hosted by the College of Family Physicians of Canada—Dr. Pierre Pluye, MD, PhD, Full Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and founding member of the Family Medicine Education Research Group (FMER), was posthumously honored with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award in Family Medicine Research. This prestigious award celebrates individuals who have significantly advanced the discipline through visionary leadership and research excellence. Dr. Pluye, who passed away on August 1, 2023, in Montreal, was represented at the ceremony by his wife, Dr. Lucie Nadeau, who accepted the award on his behalf.
