Short biography
Dr. Paula Mariela Muñoz is an Argentine physician who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires in 2011. She then completed her specialization in Family Medicine at Hospital Fiorito, where she began her research experience through descriptive observational studies during her four-year residency.
After serving as Chief Resident for one year, she dedicated herself exclusively to clinical practice while maintaining continuous medical education through courses that enabled her to provide high-quality patient care.
In July 2024, she relocated to Canada with her family to pursue an MSc in Family Medicine, Medical Education Concentration degree in the Department of Family Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Charo Rodríguez and Dr. Keith Todd. This program will equip her with essential research skills in family medicine education, enhanced by her affiliation with the McGill Family Medicine Education Research (FMER) Group, which will further strengthen her training through broad discussion of medical education research theory and current projects.
Her research focuses on exploring the concept of “hidden curriculum” in family medicine residency.
