Celebrating McGill 2025 CAME Awardees!

The McGill FMER Group proudly celebrates its Director, Dr. Charo Rodríguez, who has been honoured with a 2025 CAME Certificate of Merit Award.

Along with Dr. Rodriguez, two other members of the McGill Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE) have received this award: Dr. Jason Harley, Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, and Dr. Farhan Bhanji, Professor of Pediatrics and director of Education at the Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning.

Adjudicated at each Canadian medical school, this national distinction recognizes faculty members demonstrating outstanding commitment to medical education. The Certificate of Merit Awards highlight the significant contributions of these honorees in teaching, research, and mentorship, underscoring their dedication to fostering excellence in medical education.

The award recipients were recognized during a Virtual Awards Event on February 19, 2025, where their achievements were celebrated among colleagues nationwide. Most of the McGill awardees gathered at the IHSE, Lady Meredith House, to receive and celebrate this honour together. In the same ceremony, Ethan Bazos was recognized as the Graduate Student Rising Star, Sarah Moussa received the Medical Student Rising Star, and Max Frija-Gruman received the Resident Rising Star Award.

Please join us in congratulating Sarah, Max, Ethan, Jason, Farhan, and Charo on this well-deserved recognition and on their continued significant contribution to medical education scholarship!
