Project: Exploring Family Physicians’ Experiences with Gender-Affirming Care
Introduction:
This project explores how family physicians experience, understand, and navigate gender-affirming primary care for transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) patients.
This qualitative study is being led by Joshua Ramos (they/them), a Master’s student in the Department of Family Medicine (medical education concentration), under the supervision of faculty in the Department of Family Medicine at McGill University. It seeks to identify the strengths, challenges, and support needs of family physicians as they provide care to TGD patients within primary care contexts.
This study has received ethics approval from [25-05-006 approvals], and all procedures will follow strict ethical guidelines to ensure your privacy and comfort.

- A 45–60-minute (depending on how much you are comfortable sharing, it could be shorter or longer) interview via an online call, scheduled at your convenience.
- The interview will be conducted in English.
- All information shared will be kept confidential and securely stored.
- Participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time without consequence.
- Upon completion of the interview, Joshua Ramos will be donating $100 to a charity of your choice.
